It is being sold as-is\nwith no seller warranty.  Final sale.  In my\ntesting the unit was assigned an IP address via DHCP and\nshowed the responses copied below. I suspect that the issue\nis either that the Furuno GT8031 no longer locks to GPS as\nthese modules were affected by a WNRO event in 2022. Or\nperhaps that the Rb oscillator needs the bulb to be serviced\nby a hot air gun to evaporate the build-up of deposited\nRubidium that may be blocking the light beam. The unit works\nwith a standard 5V GPS antenna - a gain of 26dB or more is\nrecommended. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003cem\u003e\u003cfont style=\"font-family: Arial\" rwr=\"1\" size=\"4\"\u003e\u003cfont size=\"4\" face=\"Arial\"\u003e\u003cem\u003eFor the\nunit to operate to its full specification you will\nneed to use a professional grade 5V outdoor antenna\nwith a full view of the sky - please assume that this\nunit will \u003cb\u003enot \u003c\/b\u003esync with an antenna placed\nbehind a window, under a porch, in the shadow of a\nbuilding etc. \u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/font\u003e\u003c\/font\u003eI was not able to\nsend or receive data via the RS-232 console port so this\nmaybe a fault or a configuration issue. The unit ships with\nthe IP address set via DHCP so this can be viewed via your\nrouter's config screens.
