Use the images to check\nthat this matches the old part from your system.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLike most Culligan stuff, it's a proprietary design so you\nare locked into using them to get your unit back up and\nworking again.  This part should therefore save you a lot\nby doing the job yourself.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese seem to jam every few years (depending on the condition\nof your water). The rubber seals gradually become stiffer\nwhich impedes the movement of the plunger, and eventually the\ntorque of the motor driving the plunger in and out can no\nlonger move the piston, at which point the unit stops working\nand gives an error code.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe fix is to pull out the valve assembly and replace with\nthe parts you see here (after a liberal application of\nsilicone lubricant).
