Unit is used in near mint condition and has been tested and confirmed to be fully working. The USB output records a stereo track with the send signal on one side and the receive side on the other. That's useful because often the interviewer might speak over the guest and this can be corrected by muting the unwanted send 'send' signal without affecting the desired 'receive' signal. I performed my testing on a PC with native support for USB 2.0 standards, even so some USB ports worked better than others, so you may need to experiment to find a chipset that works OK if you don't see a 'USB Audio CODEC' device in your audio playback/recording panels under Windows' Control Panel. In my experience some later machines with only USB 3.0 ports are not always 100% backwards compatible with devices of this generation. So if your machine is a few years old then your chances of success with the USB interface are good. If it's a state of the art box, then it may take some tweaking to get this unit to work depending on what hardware it has installed. Note that JK Hybrids in my experience operate best with a low level of input signal, so start testing by turning down the Send gain control to the point where just the first LED level indicator is peaking lit. Also the output is on the low side so having the Caller level set to the max is normal when interfacing to balanced downstream equipment. No USB cable is included, but almost any generic Mini-USB type should work.
Note that this hybrid connects between the Telephone and the Handset, and not between the phone and the wall jack. That way it doesn't matter whether the phone is analog, digital, VoIP or whatever.

The digital hybrid connects audio signals to your IP or PBX type telephone system through the telephone handset cord. The Digital Signal Processor (DSP) continuously monitors both transmit and receive audio signals to deliver excellent separation. This proprietary, dual-convergence echo canceller algorithm can achieve excellent separation without any setup, and without sending a noise burst down the line.
Universal Host provides connections for a microphone, headphones, mixer, sound card, and telephone handset. The stereo output jack on the back of the unit provides your voice on one channel and only the caller’s voice on the other channel. The balanced XLR output jack contains only the caller’s voice. The Handset and Online buttons select between talking on the handset, or sending and receiving through the audio connections. A second switch selects between monitoring the caller or listening to the USB CODEC over the headphones.
