Item is new old stock. Never deployed but showing signs of a little "shelf wear". Cosmetic condition is MINT-.

Important Note: Generally I don't recommend placing antennae for precision time receivers behind windows. Best results are obtained by having a good quality antenna placed outdoors with a complete view of the sky. Sometimes you can get away with reduced signal reception once the receiver as achieved an initial lock and it has resolved its latitude, longitude and altitude to a high level of accuracy. At that point the location may for some models be 'locked' in the config and the unit will then stop trying to triangulate its position - after which it may be able to maintain time with fewer than four satellites visible (perhaps with some slight degradtion of the timing accuracy). My warranty on this item is is that the antenna will perform as it should. I do not offer an implied warranty that a window mounted antenna will act as an acceptable substitute to a properly placed and mounted outdoor antenna. I doubt that the downlead can be extended without excessive drop in signal levels so please figure on using the antenna with just the length of cable attached. This item is not returnable once the antenna downlead has been unspooled.

Introduction

If you have one of the Symmetricom professional GPS Master Clocks with a BNC antenna jack, you'll probably know that the antenna supply voltage is (unusually) 12 Volts and that if you connect to your receiver a generic GPS antenna such as those most commonly sold on eBay you'll fry the antenna as almost all other antennae expect only 5 Volts of power. If in doubt, measure the voltage across the the antenna connector on your receiver. If you see 12V then you may need one of these antennae.

Here's a rare chance to pick up an indoor/window mount version of the AeroAntenna AT575 that is specifically matched to the supply voltage of the Symmetricom time servers. Usually these sell for over $200 - if you can still find one. Note: This antenna will also work very well with receivers that provide 5V power.
