Near Mint Cosmetic Condition • Wharton 4850 LED Clock • GPS Synchronised Master Clock Receiver • w482 Timecode Output
Here's a very lightly used GPS receiver/clock, that's in close to mint cosmetic condition. Note that no antenna is included and you will need the matched Wharton antenna for the unit to function. It will not work with a generic GPS antenna. The power supply works with both 115V and 230V AC input. Internal rechargeable battery condition is not warrantied and may need to be replaced.
The Wharton 4850 synchronised master clock provides a precise GPS system time synchronisation solution for computer network, CCTV, security, voice recording, industrial process control and CCC applications in addition to it’s use in digital clock systems to control 400A series digital clocks, calendar clocks and time zone clocks displaying time or time and date in up to 15 different global time zones.
Further details may be obtained from the User Manual at
|Display||The 4850 master clock has a 14mm (0.6") high, bright red six digit display of time, date or status information which is visible at distances of up to 7m (20ft). The time display can be user configured to show either local or UTC time.|
|Serial ASCII RS232 & RS485 output||
The 4850 time reference has a single RS232+RS485 user configurable serial ASCII data port with a wide range of data and message formats available at programmable intervals or on request.
|w482® time code output||
This output provides a time code to drive up to 50 400A series clocks, calendar clocks and time-zone clocks displaying time or time and date in up to 15 different global time zones.
A precision one pulse per second signal of 100mS duration is available at RS232 levels. The leading edge of the signal is within 100uS of UTC when locked to GPS.
A user configurable voltage-free, change-over relay contact pair rated at 500mA @30v dc is available and may be used to provide status information or a periodic signal at user selectable intervals between every 5 seconds to once per day at a user programmable time.
|Optional IRIG timecode output||
|Optional EBU timecode output||
The 4850.R series master clock is housed in a 1U high rack mounting case suitable for either free standing or rack mounting applications.
|Power supply||4850.R units have an internal switch mode power supply and will operate from a 100-250v 50/60Hz ac supply.|
