Item was briefly used before being removed for a house move
The cable is brand new ($27 value) and is the special type required by the manufacturer for this application. It has silver plated copper wire strands.
I assume that they would only choose to use this very expensive form of cable because it's necessary to emit the frequencies that this unit generates. Be careful when buying one of these used that you are receiving the full length of cable and that you're not being sold a cheaper generic replacement cable.
