Introduction

Here's a lightly used GPS disciplined master clock unit with IRIG-B and Serial I/O, that's in good cosmetic condition. The GPS receiver achieves lock to GPS and shows the correct time and date. The LCD display does not have a backlight (which is a common situation with this series of clocks). Despite the legends on the front panel, this unit does not have a internal backup battery installed.

The receiver has the Option 34 NTP/PTP Server installed. The firmware of the Option 34 card has been updated to the latest available code - see screenshots taken during the testing of the actual item for sale. The photos show the actual item for sale. The log in for the PTP server is set to the factory default of clockoption:password. Ethernet port 2 is set to DHCP address assignment to make it easier for you to perform your own configuration.

The unit also has Option 28 installed - to measure AC line frequency via the System Reference BNC connector at the rear. I don't have the special cable that connects to this jack so I have not tested that function. The option does show up in the front panel config menus.

The unit comes with a basic indoor antenna so it will acquire time for you right out of the box (when the antenna has a clear view of the sky when placed outdoors - indoor performance by a window is not guaranteed). The included antenna is intended to get you started and to allow you to check out the unit the day it arrives. A weatherproof external antenna with a full view of the sky is recommended for a permanent installation and for achieving the highest level of time accuracy as the unit will need to track 4+ satellites to achieve this - and I usually have some listed separately that would be ideal. Feel free to ask if you need a recommendation. Alternatively you can choose your own antenna as any professional grade 5V L1 antenna should work well.
