1. A used fully working SyncServer S250 NTP server that obtains highly accurate and traceable time from the GPS satellite constellation
2. Cosmetic condition is good - the photos show the actual item for sale. Note that a few nicks and scratches have been retouched using matching paint so the unit will look smart in your equipment rack.
3. This unit has been upgraded with a new, latest generation GPS receiver module from Furuno. It is therefore unaffected by the September 18th 2022 week number rollover event that caused most SyncServers to fail to sync to GPS. The new card is good for accurate GPS time and date reception until beyond 2037. The new card will typically see a few more satellites than the OEM original product, but note that you may need to set the time mode to 'Dynamic' for an accurate satellite count on the front panel.
4. The Vacuum Fluorescent Display has been replaced with a brand new panel so you will benefit from bright, clear digits for years into the future.

6. No antenna is included, but I have matching antennae listed separately. The antenna voltage is 12V so you cannot use one of the generic 5V antennas commonly offered for sale. And for best results the antenna needs to be mounted outside with a complete view of the sky.
7. The unit has been reset to the factory logon defaults (logon with admin:symmetricom) ready for your install.
8. This unit is the upgraded OCXO version. The installed firmware is v1.36 - the most recent version available.

The Stratum 1 S250 will automatically synchronize to GPS, IRIG B AM, 1PPS, and 10 MHz in that priority. It smoothly transitions from one reference to the next available if the higher priority signal is lost or regained. This is perfect for operating with different backup time or frequency sources. The S250 can also revert to a Stratum 2 mode and retrieve time from other user-designated time servers.

All SyncServers can be upgraded to an internal Rubidium atomic oscillator to keep the time server accurate if the GPS signal is lost.
